FOUNDATION “POMOST—AID TO POLES IN THE EAST”
is a non-profit, non-governmental, organization registered in 1994, no.
4412 in the Regional Court of Financial Registration in Warsaw; its
operations are based on the work and social engagement of its members and
volunteers. The foundation grew out of a moral imperative as well as the
links between Poles everywhere and those Polish families forcibly
imprisoned on the steppes of Kazakhstan and in the limitless expanses of
the Siberian taiga by the Stalinist system in the former Soviet Union.
